What we teach
The art school has well equipped studios and facilities in the areas of painting, drawing, printmaking, art photography, ceramics, art history/ theory and digital art. We have an emphasis on practical learning, with most lessons being a combination of teacher demonstration, which is followed by student practice. Feedback to the student is delivered one on one, and also via class discussion. As well as rigorous technical and conceptual training in fine art, our courses prepare candidates for the arts industries by integrating training in arts-related areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, professional practice, arts marketing, and digital media.
What our graduates do
Graduates in our courses have gone on to successful careers in a range of areas including studio-based art practice, gallery management, arts administration, art education (including school teaching, adult education and gallery-based education) curatorial practice, community art practice, art retail, and artwork installations.
