Be inspired by our Uni Via TAFE student success stories. There is more than one way to get a degree. Learn more about the many pathways available which have helped our students achieve success. 

Deng Adut's pathway to success

Deng Adut's pathway to success
Deng completed his HSC equivalent studies at TAFE then enrolled in an Advanced Diploma of Accounting at Blacktown TAFE College. In 2005 he enrolled in a Bachelor of Law at Western Sydney University and became the first person in his family to graduate with a law degree. He was recently featured in the Western Sydney University, “Unlimited” ad campaign.

Tara's Pathway to Success Tara’s pathway to success 
Tara completed her Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC), a course designed to help students gain pre-requisite skills and an entrance score for university, at Nepean College. 

“To achieve a higher earning capacity, I needed to study”
 Tara said. Tara achieved exceptional results and has commenced a double degree in Law & Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame.
David's pathway to success

David’s pathway to success
TAFE studies provided David with an efficient and inexpensive pathway to a university qualification in the area of his passion. David completed the Certificate IV and Diploma of Community Services, and the Diploma in Community Services (Case Management) at TAFE. 

In 2013, David completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare) at Charles Sturt University (CSU).

Shona's pathway to success

Shona’s pathway to success
Shona graduated from the TAFE Western Sydney and Federation University partnership program with a Bachelor of Applied Management.

Shona found the smaller group sizes enabled her to build a strong rapport with her lecturers. Shona has since gone on to study Medicine and credits her TAFE Western Sydney Business Degree for improving her writing and critical thinking skills.

Chloe's Pathway to Success

Chloe’s pathway to success
Chloe completed her Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC), a course designed to help students gain pre-requisite skills and an entrance score for university, through Nepean College.

Chloe recognises the wonderful guidance provided by her teachers as contributing to her success. Chloe achieved outstanding results enabling her to enrol in a Bachelor of Journalism at Macleay College and pursue her passion for writing.

Joanne’s pathway to success

Joanne's pathway to success
Joanne also completed her Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) a course designed to help students gain pre-requisite skills and an entrance score for, with TAFE Western Sydney and achieved outstanding results.

Joanne hadn’t studied for a while and the thought of studying again was a bit daunting. The Tertiary Preparation Certificate gave her the confidence and range of skills she needed to flourish at University.
