Stacey completed Certificate III and Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy in 2012, receiving marks of Distinction and is currently studying the Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Blue Mountains College.
Stacey has said that “she feels the support network and dedication of WSI teachers was paramount in her success and completion of these courses and her exciting career that she is now working in and loving”.
Stacey worked with IKOU Day Spa which is a boutique Day Spa located in Leura within the magnificent Blue Mountains. As part of her development and progression into the Diploma of Beauty Therapy she was successful in gaining a further opportunity to complete work placement with Spa Sublime – Katoomba one, an award winning Spa which is located in a heritage residence which also has rooms at the Fairmont Resort.
Stacey said that “she believes that having the opportunity to demonstrate and learn on the job during Work Placement outlined in her course structure enabled her to gain positions in both of these amazing Day Spas”.
Stacey also said that “as I have Indigenous Heritage I am very aware of my Community and I understand the importance of positive role models to show the young woman of today the possible career paths which will lead to a bright tomorrow. I have the goal to pay forward the support and help I have received from the Teachers, Students of WSI Institute of TAFE to assist in empowering woman down the path of endless opportunity”
