This qualification reflects the role of sign manufacturers who design and produce signs and graphics for a range of purposes.

Signs and graphics can be produced using a range of traditional and contemporary techniques, often involving the use of advanced printing software and technology, and a range of methods for illumination and fabrication.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of endorsement.

The Certificate III in Signage is a 2 year course. This course has a materials charge payable at the time of enrolment.

This course is for people who wish to work in the Sign, Graphic Display, Visual Merchandising Display, Vehicle Graphics, Lightbox Fabrication and LED installation and many other related sign manufacture industries. You will learn about the processes, as well as the specialised skills of the industry.

You will also learn about the relationship of this trade to a range of other related industries, e.g. Construction, Graphic Production, Retail and Visual Display Industries.

Smart and Skilled Student Fees

Apprenticeships: To be eligible for the Smart and Skilled Apprentice fee you must be a registered Apprentice.

Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.

There will be a materials fee of approximately $250

When enrolling under a Smart and Skilled entitlement and where you are eligible for 100% credit from previous studies, your student fee contribution will be zero. However, you will be required to pay an administration fee for the production of your testamur.
