This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as nail technicians to provide manicure and pedicare services, including the application of nail art and acrylic and gel nail enhancements.
These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on nail care products and services. Nail technicians may also be self-employed and responsible for managing their own nail station.
Work is typically conducted in nail and beauty salons.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Smart and Skilled Student Fees
The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 870 for further information and advice.
|Non-government subsidised fee||$7,190|
Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.
When enrolling under a Smart and Skilled entitlement and where you are eligible for 100% credit from previous studies, your student fee contribution will be zero. However, you will be required to pay an administration fee for the production of your testamur.

Classes are held on Mondays (5 hrs/day) and Tuesdays (6 hrs/day) from 9 am (subject to changes).

At the Information Session, we will inform you of the materials and tool kits you will need to purchase to be able to participate in practical classes.
Classes are held at TAFE NSW Blue Mountains (Katoomba), Parke St, Katoomba and will commence from 5 February 2018.
