This qualification provides for the specialisation in Performance.

The Advanced Diploma of Music (performance) covers a broad range of the skills required to succed in the music industry. These include group performance, stagecraft, rehearsal technique, solo performance, improvisation, music notation, ear training, music techology (including Pro Tools,and Sibelius) songwriting and composition, and a range of music business units. Advanced Diploma has an emphasis on projects and students will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation music projects, both live and recorded. Job outcomes include performance, composition, music production, music tuition and session musician.

The duration of this Diploma course is 1.5 semesters (9 months) of full time attendance.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.

Full Time: 14 hours per week x 36 Weeks

Mondays for three hours, Tuesday for four hours and Thursdays for three hours. Starting time will be advised. (Note: Subject to change.)

This course requires the completion of a Diploma in Music (or equivalent) and the presentation of a portfolio. Applicants will then be contacted via email or SMS to arrange an audition or an interview. If succesful, learners will then be contacted to complete their enrolment.
