This RTO Skill Set is designed to provide beginners who have no experience, with basic welding skills. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Gas Metal Arc Welding (also known as GMAW) including equipment use and safety. This Skilll Set is suitable for the general public or anyone wanting to develop basic welding skills.

Duration: This course runs every Saturday from 8 am - 11 am over 6 weeks.
Location: TAFE NSW - Mount Druitt, Metal Fabrication Section, Block G Via Gate 3, Cnr Mount Street & North Parade, Mount Druitt

Credit (or recognition) for modules/units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences. Please discuss this with the teaching section when you enrol.

The above list includes units being offered at this campus and that are required to complete this qualification. Other colleges may offer different elective options. For some courses the electives will not be listed however they will be discussed during your first class. Smart and Skilled Student Fees
The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 870 for further information and advice.
|Non-government subsidised fee||$1,030|
Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.

Start Date: 7 Apr 2018
Part Time Day: 3 hours per week x 6 Weeks
Saturdays from 8 am to 11 am for 3 hours per day (subject to changes).
To register in this course, please use the Register option.
Once you have registered, please complete your enrolment by going to TAFE NSW - Mount Druitt, Building A, Administration, Cnr Mount Street & North Parade, Mount Druitt.
