This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills and who take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of introductory design theory and history.

This Qualification will provide you with a pathway into a career into Graphic Design or Design. The main topics are based on the fundamentals of producing successful design work and introducing you to the applications that will allow you to produce the work required for the industry.

It will include topics such as

what is design,
the industry of design,
the equipment and technology to produce work in design,
skills such as drawing,
type useage
and design group work.

They will equip you to work as part of a team, introduce you to graphic design as a career path and equip you with the skills to undertake further studies in the area.

Smart and Skilled Student Fees

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 870 for further information and advice.

Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.

When enrolling under a Smart and Skilled entitlement and where you are eligible for 100% credit from previous studies, your student fee contribution will be zero. However, you will be required to pay an administration fee for the production of your testamur.

Full Time: 18 hours per week x 18 Weeks

Monday from 9.30 am to 4 pm Tuesday from 10 am to 4.30 pm and Wednesday from 9.30 am to 4 pm (subject to changes).
