This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on the underbody systems of a variety of vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

This includes safety boots, long drill trousers and a drill shirt or your work uniform as long as that uniform includes the above.

You need to bring your receipt as proof of payment as you will be asked to show your receipt when you apply for your TAFEcard and library membership. To be eligible for a Smart and Skilled student fee students must:
- be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident, or humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen; and
- be 15 years or older; and
- live or work in NSW; and
- no longer be at school

Smart and Skilled Student Fees

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 870 for further information and advice.

Apprenticeships: To be eligible for the Smart and Skilled Apprentice fee you must be a registered Apprentice.

Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.

Additional fees of $300 for materials charges.

When enrolling under a Smart and Skilled entitlement and where you are eligible for 100% credit from previous studies, your student fee contribution will be zero. However, you will be required to pay an administration fee for the production of your testamur.
