This course is designed to introduce concepts of 3D CAD and Solid Modelling using the Autodesk Inventor software and develop skills that can be used to create and assess virtual prototypes.

If this becomes necessary, the Institute will advise you of the change and the arrangements which will be available for you to complete your alternate course.

It is recommended that students have completed the 162-R2034V01 Introduction to 2D CAD to receive a competent result in the MEM30033A unit.

Credit (or recognition) for modules/units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences. Please discuss this with the teaching section when you enrol.

CAD, Engineering Drafting, Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing) and Industrial Design

MEM09216A Interpret and produce curved 3-D shapes and patterns
MEM30033A Use computer-aided design (CAD) to create and display 3-D models

Part Time Evening: 4 hours per week x 8 Weeks

Thursday evenings 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Students will attend 4 hrs per week at the college and will be required to do some work in their own time offsite.
