Reconciliation - study a path to better cultural understanding
Father Chris Riley has been teaching young disadvantaged people for decades but late last year he became a student himself again in order to gain a better understanding of Aboriginal culture and communities. He has recently completed the Diploma of Aboriginal Studies through TAFE NSW – Western Sydney Institute’s Open Training and Education Network (OTEN).

Western Sydney’s top TAFE achievers receive awards
State Member for Penrith and Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Training Karyn Paluzzano last night recognized the top 35 students from TAFE – Western Sydney Institute at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 16 June 2009.
Ms Paluzzano acknowledged the 23 winners of the Institute’s 2009 Student Excellence Awards and praised the 12 State Medal recipients present and announced the prestigious Institute Medal Award to Dasha Newington.
